BREKKY BOY

Piano-driven powerhouse ‘jazznotjazz’ trio Brekky Boy perform musical works written predominantly about dogs. The Sydney based outfit has carved out an invigorating original sound from a disparate array of influences: drawing on artists such as Tigran Hamasyan, Ólafur Arnalds, GoGo Penguin & The Bad Plus. Mixing harmonic landscapes with complex grooves and minimalist piano melodies, the trio brings something refreshingly vibrant and contemporary to the jazz genre. 

Performance highlights include Montreux Jazz Festival CH, Melbourne International Jazz Festival, Wellington Jazz Festival NZ, Woodford Folk Festival, Queenscliff Music Festival, Mullum Music Festival, Queenstown Jazz Festival NZ & clubs in Japan.

Sarah is known for her expressive vocal lyricism and her beautiful intonations.  With an extensive repertoire including origins compositions, Jazz standards, Contemporary classics, Blues and Soul, Sarah is a consummate performer with a panache for singing and entertaining.  Sarah performs as a duo or a trio with incredibly talented guitarists and pianists. “Sarah performs with a with a passion to bring back the past elegance and sophistication to music."
